Pamela Sue Halona
November 25, 1958 - May 30, 2014
On May 30, 2014 Pamela Sue Halona 55, of Springville, UT, returned home to her Heavenly Father and was reunited with the love of her life and eternal companion, MacArthur Douglas Halona. After a yearlong battle with cancer, Pam fought courageously with immense grace and determination. Pam was born November 25, 1958 in Exeter, Missouri to Carl J. and Gertrude P. Pendergraft. She is the eldest of six girls. Pam moved to Utah at the age of 19 and resided in Orem where she met the man of her dreams. She married MacArthur Halona on June 7, 1980 in Orem Utah. On April 11, 2009, a week before MacArthur’s passing, they fulfilled their lifelong dream to be sealed together for time and all eternity in the Mt. Timpanogas Temple. Pam was placed on this earth to be a mother, not only to her own children, but to the countless number of children she loved and provided for during her 30 years of childcare. Pam and her husband MacArthur opened their first Daycare Center on the Navajo Reservation in New Mexico in 1993. She loved and respected the Navajo culture and was accepted into the community as one of their own. Pam quickly became one of the best “Fry Bread Makers” in our family. In 2004 Pam and Mac opened “Just For Kids Daycare and Learning Center” in Springville Utah. Many people say there is nothing like a mother’s love, and they are right. Our mother was the perfect example of someone who loved unconditionally. She was a wonderful person with a huge heart. She showed love to everyone she came in contact with and lived her life serving others. She was caring and beautiful inside and out. She loved life, her family, and her friends. Above all she cherished spending time with her children, grandkids and grandpup. Pam is survived by her five sisters; father and mother in-law Wallace E. and Betty J. Halona, Daughters; Desiree’(Ryan) Raulston and their children Hurley & Roxy Mac, Gia (Timothy) Carter and their pup Oakley “Arff” Carter. Step children; Leigh (C. Lee) Vornkahl and their children River & Parker, Shane Halona & his boys Tristan & Jake, Jeremy (Delores) Halona and their children Kadin & Trey, Michael Halona, Utahna (John) Erickson and their children Weston & Preslee, Melody Halona, and several Brother & Sister in-laws, Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. She is proceeded in death by her husband and her parents. A viewing for Pam will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Grass Lands 2nd Ward. 878 W. Center Street, Springville Utah. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Grass Lands 2nd Ward. 878 W. Center Street, Springville Utah.
