Paul Duane Ozmun

September 3, 1958 - March 27, 2015

Paul D. Ozmun Draper, UT – Paul D. Ozmun 56, died Friday, March 27, 2015 peacefully at home. He was born September 3, 1958 in Ogden, a son of Duane and Beverly Ozmun. He graduated from Roy High School and served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Scotland. Paul married Kaylene McCulloch and they had two children (Alison and Emily). They later divorced and in time he married Julie Woodyatt. They served and loved each other faithfully through some difficult health challenges. Paul was a graduate (Finance) of Arizona State University and worked in human resources throughout his career. For the past several years, Paul had worked as the Human Resource Director for the Grand America Hotels. He loved playing and watching basketball as well as golf and many other outdoor activities. Paul loved his family and in these last months he constantly expressed that love for his dear wife, kids and others. Surviving are his wife Julie of Draper; two children, Alison (Kevin) Jenkins, Chandler, AZ; Emily Ozmun (Pullman, Washington); 4 step-children, Christopher McDonald, Tyler McDonald, Chelsea (Brad) Harrison, and Jagger Woodyatt and 1 grandchild Jeter Harrison. Also surviving are three sisters and two brothers, Leslie Arnold, Roy, Chris (Christine) Ozmun, Providence; Lori (Robbie) Rodrigues, Farmington; Jenny (Ryan) Holtry, North Ogden; Andrew (Emily) Ozmun, Harrisville. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family expresses special thanks to the Grand America hotel and the countless acts of service provided by them, as well as the Huntsman Cancer Institute and the many doctors, nurses and others who served him so well. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 3rd at 11 a.m. at the Suncrest 1st Ward Chapel,14977 S Round Tree Lane, Draper Utah. A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 2nd from 6 to 8 p.m and Friday from 10 to 11 am at the same location. Interment will be at Highland City Cemetery (6100 W 11000 N Highland, Utah).
