Phyllis Rowland
October 23, 1931 - March 19, 2012
The heavens are going to be a bit noisier with the clickity clack of clogging shoes. Phyllis Ann Rowland passed away March 19, 2012. Born October 23, 1931 in Fountain Green, Utah to John E & Geneva Christiansen. This beautiful Lamb Day Queen graduated from Moroni High and then from Branch Agricultural College (now Southern Utah University) and then went off to “see the world” as a flight attendant for Delta airlines. She retired after 25 years service at the Utah State Department of Employment Security. Married Ron Fredrickson, later divorced. They had 5 daughters. She married Jim Rowland, Sr. This is the paragraph where you try to cram in 80 years of life. So, at $ a line you will have to come to the service to hear more. Phyllis would approve of this since her favorite store was Thriftown! Survived by husband, daughters: Melanie Kretzschmar (Dennis), Melinda Van (Robert), Michele Nuttall (Gregg), Melea Adams (Wil), 7 absolutely wonderful & awesome grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 3 stepsons (Scott, Steve & Jimmie, Jr.), sister, Leah Adams (Gayle) & their family. Preceeded in death by parents and infant daughter Merieln. Thank you to Dr. Aslami and staff at St. Marks Hospital, and the nurses and staff at Community Nursing Services for their exceptional care. A very special hug to Meribel, Karen and Cathy for their care and compassion. We so appreciate you! Services will be held at the Heughs Canyon Ward (6301 S 2300 E , Holladay) on Friday March 23, 12:00 noon. A viewing will be held 1 hour prior at the church. Jello optional.
