Rebecca Bird Vos

November 1, 1945 - August 25, 2021

Our beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend went home to be with Jesus on August 25, 2021. She loved the outdoors, fly fishing, golf, and just laughing and being with friends and family. She was an avid board game player, as anyone who played Scrabble against her soon realized. She loved doing prison ministry with her husband and they were pastors over the small group ministry in her church. But most of all, she loved Jesus, and was passionate about serving Him in any way she could. Becky was born on November 1, 1945, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Melban N. and Virginia Bird. She graduated from South High School and attended both the University of Utah and Stevens-Henager College. She married Neil Vos on July 23, 1968, who survives her; they were married for a wonderful 53 years. She is also survived by her loving son, Christopher, and her dear brother, Scott Bird. She was preceded in death by her brother, Steven Bird. Becky wanted to thank all of her caregivers at University of Utah South Jordan Medical Center, Huntsman at Home, and Huntsman Cancer Hospital who provided such amazing and compassionate care for her. She also wanted to give special thanks to all her awesome friends and church-family for all their love, prayers, gifts, help with Chris, and other support. A memorial service will be held at New Creation Church, 8700 South 500 West (Sandy Parkway), Sandy, Utah, on Saturday, September 18, at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, Becky wanted gifts be made to Huntsman Cancer Hospital.
