Renay Marlene Harman

July 8, 1937 - January 2, 2017

Renay Marlene Harman 1937 - 2017 Renay was born in Holladay, UT, July 8, 1937, and passed away January 2, 2017. She married Rodney G. Harman, November 8, 1974 in Ely, NV. Graduated from Olympus High School, and attended the U of U. Renay retired from Utah State Division for the Blind in 1999. Served as National President of the Rehabilitation Secretaries Association. Renay and the love of her life Rod, enjoyed trips to France, England, Belgium and many US states. Her passion was gardening with her husband; Renay was known for her beautiful roses. She also loved to write and often included stories about her children and grandchildren when she would send them their birthday gifts. She shared a special bond with Angela, her first grandchild and was especially proud of her grandsons Brad and Travis who served in the US Marine Corps during the Iraq and Afghanistan campaigns. She was an active member of St Thomas More parish and served on the Sunshine Committee by making cards for parish members who were ill or needed support. Renay was a superb cook, impeccable dresser, she was a creative writer. She cherished her dogs Rusty Bear and Peanut. Survived by her husband; children, Mickie Nicks-Nuanes (Joe) of Denver, CO, Michael Morton of Phoenix, AZ, Steven Morton of Salt Lake City, UT, Shauna Albouy of France; grandchildren, Angela Nicks, Bradley Nicks, Travis Dombrowski, Amanda Morton, Jennee Morton, Brittany Morton, Morgan Albouy and Emilie Albouy; 9 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by grandchildren, Samantha Morton and Trevor Morton, and brother Kip Amundsen. We will miss her dearly but we know that she has gone to Heaven, is whole and with our loved ones who welcomed her.
