Robert Lee Chadwick

Robert Lee Chadwick born on August 15, 1938, returned to his Father in Heaven December 1, 2019. He passed quietly after a short but aggressive bout with cancer, surrounded by loved ones and dear friends. He was born to Roy Spratley Chadwick and Ida Hardy Chadwick in Salt Lake City, Utah. He moved to Logan in his early years. He loved Roy Rogers and John Wayne movies and this inspired his love for country music and attire. He played on the Logan High School basketball team and also jumped his own height of 6'2" on the high jump. He enjoyed music and dancing, a legacy that has continued through his family. He was a man of honor and integrity. He loved people, he was called “friend” by many. He used to say “Everyday, I want to meet a new friend”. He was a hard worker for 65 years and owned and operated several businesses in order to provide for his large family. He had to learn how to walk again a couple times in his life due to surviving Polio as a child and a fall from scaffolding. Survived by his wife Nancy Kay Peck Chadwick, and children Terri Romero, John Mandeville & Michael Chadwick. He is also survived by his step & adopted children Richard Steven Lanier, Sandra Kay Winegar, Jan Christine Haliburton, Debi Ann Lanier, Daniel Peck Lanier, Mark Peck Chadwick, Matthew Peck Chadwick. Also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren & great great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents Roy Spratley Chadwick and Ida Hardy, his brothers Ralph and Ken, his son Dennis and other family. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses, hospice, ward members, friends, extended family and the many, many, prayers and thoughts! Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 6, 2019 at the Copper Hills Stake Center, 5176 West Parr Drive, West Jordan, UT. A viewing will be held Friday morning from 9:30 am - 10:30 am at the Copper Hills Stake Center prior to the services at the church.
