Rodney Shelby Wintle January 28, 1946 – January 28, 2022 Rodney passed away on his 76th birthday and we are confident he was joyously greeted by all his loved ones that had passed before. He was born to Darol H Wintle and Ruth Shelby Wintle on January 28, 1946 in Ogden, UT. He married Patsy Lucille Birch on December 9, 1966. They were later sealed in the Logan temple. Rod graduated from Weber High school and later served a church service mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He went on to have a long career as a welder and driver for Young Electric Sign Co. He proudly received a 40 year watch for his work there. He was a hard worker and very dedicated to his job. Rod valiantly rose above the burdens and trials he had in his life and was an example of forgiveness and moving forward. He had a generous and kind heart and would help anyone in need. He loved having friends. He was artistic and had beautiful hand lettering. Rod loved animals. He had a soft spot for Welsh Corgies and his niece’s Newfoundlands, but especially loved his beloved cat Fluffy. He loved to travel, even if it was a short car trip. Rod always supported and was so proud of Patsy’s creative talents. He is preceded in death by his parents and beloved wife Patsy. He is survived by a son Jason Wintle and grandkids, Justice, Rhiannon , Shaynne and Kaden as well as his five siblings, Lois(Virgil) Boehme, Diane(Darwin) Perry, Darol(Phyllis) Wintle, Wally(Patty) Wintle, Lori(Curt) Peterson and numerous nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Laurel and Doug Kirkham and Wally and Patty Wintle for their kind and generous help to Rod. He loved and appreciated them so much. Rod was loved and he will be greatly missed. There will be a private family graveside service on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at the North Ogden cemetery where he will be interred.
