Sandra LaJean Alexander Sheppick

March 9, 1951 - July 4, 2017

Sandra LaJean Alexander Sheppick 1951 - 2017 Sandy was born on March 9, 1951 to Leslie and Lesene Alexander in Tacoma Washington. On Dec 10, 1968 she married her high school sweetheart Kevin Sheppick and were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple for Time and All Eternity. She was the proud mother of three daughters, Christy Dillon (Ed), Angie Josie (Jason), and Aimee. Her grandchildren were the light of her life…..Rebekah, Kaeley, Annakah, Benjamin, EmmaLee, Ammon Hall and Adison, Asher & Ainzlie Pollock. Sandy retired after a long career as an Information Technology Specialist. She was a devoted member of the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Having faithfully and lovingly served in many callings including the Nursery, Primary, Young Women’s and the Relief Society. She lived her life, always noticing where she could provide quiet acts of kindness and service, never seeking praise or recognition. She was quiet and reserved to the public eye but she always seemed to know when someone else was in need. She would always be thinking of how she could help others. Sandy loved to paint and garden, play golf & travel with her sweetheart, and be silly with her kids and grandkids. She was diagnosed with cancer in June of 2014 and was determined to put up the fight of her life – through radiation & multiple rounds of Chemo Therapy along with every trial drug available, coupled with never ending bad news, she forged on. Quietly and with unimaginable dignity she fought, always assuring friends and family she was doing fine. Never wanting anyone to worry or be sad for her. She passed away in her home surrounded by her cherished family. Sweetheart, Mom & Grandma….. we will miss you beyond measure, until we meet again. We Love You To The Moon & Back, and Eternity After That. Sandy was preceded in death by her Father, Leslie Alexander. She is survived by her Husband, Kevin; Daughters, Christy (Ed) Dillon; Angie (Jason) Josie and Aimee. Mother, Lesene (Senie) Alexander; Sisters Shauna (Steve) Johnson; Jan (Larry) Harward; and Brothers Rick (Sue) Alexander; Jay (Jackie) Alexander. The Family would like to thank the management and staff of CNS Hospice for their tender loving care of Sandy. Especially Marina & Meghan. Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at the Centennial Park Ward, 3372 Merry Lane, West Valley City, Utah with a viewing at the church Tuesday, July 11, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and prior to services from 9:45 to 10:45 am.
