Scott McCabe Helm

July 20, 1950 - February 21, 2022

Scott McCabe Helm was born on July 20, 1950 and passed away on February 21, 2022 after a very short battle with a very aggressive cancer. Scott truly enjoyed people, whether it was the ladies in Las Vegas who let him put a clock in the casino gift shop, the high school buddies who met once a year to play golf, or the neighborhood families who shoveled walks, mowed lawns and shared stories with their favorite adult beverages. If the sun was out and the course was open, he played golf every Sunday with his closest friends. Although the foursome changed throughout the years, his fondness for those friends remained constant. The miles that separated him from his immediate family did not change his love for them or their love for him. His in-laws welcomed him into their family and they will miss his laughter and special food deliveries. Scott was the “fry guy” at the Utah Arts Festival even winning the Culinary Award for Best Food. He operated a Maui Wowi franchise in Arizona and used it as an opportunity to interact with people and make new friends. As one of his friends said, he was a force of nature who will truly be missed. Scott did not want people to be sad. A memorial will be held in July so we can all share happy memories and cry happy tears.
