Sharon Kay Frank Tebbs

Sharon Kay Frank Tebbs peacefully passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022, at the age of 82. She was surrounded by 19 loved ones, who were by her side when she took her last breath. Sharon was born in Provo, Utah on January 8, 1940. She is the first child and daughter of George and Shirley McCandlass Frank. She married Clark J Tebbs in Panguitch, Utah on April 7, 1956. They have four children- Cindy (AJ) Harris, Richard (Robyn) Tebbs, Jerry (Laura) Tebbs, and Joy (Late Michael) Brandt. As a child, Sharon’s happiest times were spent on the farm in Benjamin when visiting her grandparents. She would help out with chores, gather eggs, and cook in the kitchen beside her grandma. She loved spending time with her cousins–Sherman and Mary Lou were her all-time side-kicks! As a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she continually served her family. Sharon supported her husband who served in the military for 21 years. They moved frequently, and lived in various locations in the US, including Korea. Sharon adapted well wherever she lived and made each new home an inviting and loving place. She was loved and admired by many friends and family. Sharon had a gift with children and worked caring for them throughout her life. She worked at the Utah Valley Hospital Daycare for 17 years as a Child Development Teacher. She was loved and respected by the children and their parents. Later in her life, she volunteered and spent time serving and comforting the elderly. Sharon also loved serving the Lord. It was her faith in Christ that gave her strength to face each new day. She served faithfully in her church callings throughout her life and supported her husband in his. Full of fun and laughter, she enjoyed having a good time with family and friends. She enjoyed camping, the outdoors, wading her feet in the river, gardening and was always ready to make sure you were fed. Sharon had a great sense of style and fashion and loved to shop, especially for a bargain! She had a passion for Elvis Presley and Neil Diamond! She enjoyed listening to music and dancing! Health challenges and struggles made her into a stronger woman of faith. She continues to hold onto her eternal covenants even now. She will always be remembered by all who know her for the many acts of kindness and love she extended again and again. Her favorite title she held was that of GRANDMA. She has been blessed with 18 grandchildren (three of whom greeted her happily in heaven), 13 in-law grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter! Sharon was full of compassion especially for those serving her in her final days. The staff of the Provo Beehive Home were so loving to her. The team from Applegate Hospice were incredible in showing their love and support as well. Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Clark Tebbs, her parents, and her three younger sisters–Rocene, Shaun, and Genie, who recently passed away a few months ago. She is survived by her brother Jerry (Debbie) Frank, and her four children who love her dearly. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday March 4, 2022 at the American Fork 37th Ward, 1100 East 396 North, American Fork, Utah ~ with a viewing to begin at 9:30 am. Interment to follow at Orem City Cemetery.
