Tana May Tueller Simmons

February 13, 1943 - December 21, 2021

Tana May Tueller Simmons returned to the loving arms of her heavenly parents on Tuesday, December 21, 2021. Tana was born to Scott Junior Tueller and Alice Joy Tueller (LaRocco) on February 13, 1943 in Montpelier, Idaho. As an adventurous young adult, Tana moved to Utah where she started her family and raised her children, while continuing her education and building her business. Though Tana faced many hardships in life, she did not let them stop her from pushing forward and achieving all that she set out to achieve. Tana served her community as a cosmetologist for over 40 years. During this time, she formed life-long friendships with her clients as she listened to, advised, and encouraged all who sat in her chair. She loved to make others feel and look their best, which was evident in the many pictures of her loyal patrons wearing the red hat of friendship which she proudly displayed on the walls of her salon. She also combined her love of cosmetology and service as she volunteered her talents in assisted living and care centers. Tana was an active and devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved to share her talents and deep testimony as she worked with children, youth, and adults through her service in various church and temple callings. In addition, she served a senior mission at Temple Square. Tana was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and neighbor who cared deeply about her family and friends. Tana had a strong sense of freedom and independence. She was a skilled golfer, skier, artist and crafter, and entrepreneur. She was passionate about decorating for every holiday and season and making her home welcoming to all. Tana is pre-deceased by her beloved mother and father. She is survived by her daughters Jackie Heier (Tim) and Cobie Simmons and her siblings Janet Moss (Bentson), Brenda Oliekan, Rick Tueller (Julie), and Cindy Porter (Shawn). She is also survived by her five grandchildren: Ammon (Katie), Kaylie, Zac (Bri), Sharie, Braydon (Garrity) and eight great-grandchildren: Lily, Jaxon, Lincoln, Allan, Zoey, Olivia, Lucy, and Amelia, as well as, multiple beloved uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Graveside services will be held at Bountiful Cemetery, 2224 S 200 W, Bountiful, Utah 84010 on Monday, January 3, 2021 at 11am.
