Terry Denise Giles King June 15, 1964 – February 3, 2022 On Thursday morning, February 3, 2022, Terry ran into the loving arms of her husband John, who waited 25 years to hold her in his arms again. The Heavens rejoiced as we shed tears of sadness and joy. Tears of sadness that we lost our angel on this earth, joy because she no longer has to suffer and was embraced by loved ones in Heaven. Terry was welcomed into this world on June 15, 1964 to her loving parents Myrna and Darrell Giles. She is the third of ten children. From a young age, Terry knew the true joys of life. She was humble, kind and full of charity. She listened to everyone without judgement. Always making people feel safe and loved unconditionally. Her heart was pure and big, over flowing with compassion. On October 23, 1981, Terry married her one and only love John at the age of 17. They had four beautiful children together, Jonathan (Hailey), Jeramiah (Jenny), Andrew (Kendyll), and her baby girl Brittney. Her children will always be her pride and joy. They blessed her with seven beautiful grandbabies, which were the twinkle in her eye. Terry loved a good cup of coffee in the morning with her racy romance novels or sitting outside watching the birds in the sun. Terry also enjoyed camping, western movies, Sam Elliot, John Wayne, and country music. She loved springtime, baby animals and cheating at cards with her brother John. One of Terrys favorite past times was spending time at the beach with her husband John and their children. Her favorite sound was the laughter of babies as she nibbled their chubby cheeks. She won over the hearts of her many nieces and nephews with her witty comebacks, always getting the best of them. If she didn’t she would corner them later to tie them in a pretzel. Every one of them had a special nickname. She was the favorite aunt because they knew they could come to her seeking comfort or a good laugh. We were so blessed to have her in our lives. Nothing will ever fill the void that she has left in our hearts. We will always cherish the beautiful memories we have of her. Terry was welcomed into heaven by her husband (John King), Parents (Myrna and Darrell Giles), her baby brother (DJ Giles), three brother-in-laws (Randy Schawang, Heath Mounga and William King), one nephew (Gage Schawang), and her granddaughter (Jordan Harter). She will be truly missed by her four children, Jonathan (Hailey), Jeramiah (Jenny), Andrew (Kendyll), and Brittney. Her six grandchildren, her two brothers, Tim Giles(Lesa), John Giles (Char), her six sisters Loyann Christensen (Will), Mary Dollar (Jody), Stephanie Horlacher (Kory), Sandra Giles, Patti Mounga, Bobbie Jo Young and her sister-in-law Treanna Giles; mother and father-in-law, Glenn and Dorena Young; and sister-in-law Amanda Barlow. As well as her many nieces and nephews and countless others who love her. Terry was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. A visitation will be held Saturday February 12, 2022 at 10 AM. Funeral services will follow at 11 AM. The visitation and funeral will be held at LDS stake center 105 West 1800 North Pleasant Grove, Utah 84062. Her final resting place will be City of Orem Cemetery, 1520 North 800 East Orem, Utah 84097.
