Thomas Milton Garfield passed away peacefully with family on October 1, 2021 he was born on September 26, 1947 in Payson, Utah to Thomas L. Garfield and Ruth Kay. He was the youngest of four children. Dale, Pat, Linda and Thomas grew up in Mona, Utah. He graduated from Juab High School and attended Snow College. He married Ellen and had three children he later divorced and married Mary Shepherd in 1985 and became the father of three children. Tom was a union contractor by trade for many years until 1987 when he became a corrections officer at the Utah state prison where he retired after 27 years of service as a lieutenant. After retirement Tom and Mary enjoyed camp hosting at Palisades State Park. He loved ice cream, hunting with his boys, the Green Bay Packers, golfing, riding his razor, boating, camping with friends and family. He loved his dogs like children and going to his grandkids sporting events. Dad had a fun sense of humor and kept a smile on his face through his last days. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Mary Garfield, his daughter Heather (Ryan) Barton, daughter Karen (Sinclair) Rowan, son Ben (Candice) Miller, daughter AmberDee (Damin), son Thomas J. (TeriLyn) Garfield. Grandpa Tom is survived by 14 grandchildren Lindsey, Savanah, Malorie, Austin, Jordan, Kyson, Harley, Hunter, Haylee, KateLynn, Kolton Thomas, Kiilsey, KayLyn and Knox Thomas. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, from 6 to 8 PM at Premier Funeral Services located at 1160 North 1200 West, Orem, UT. Graveside services will be held at Mona City Cemetery 700 East Cemetery Ln., Mona, UT at 10 AM on Thursday, October 7, 2021 (gathering at Premier Funeral Services in Orem, Utah at 9 AM to drive to Mona Cemetery together).
