Thomas Royce Tebbet

January 10, 1953 - December 3, 2021

Thomas Royce Tebbet, loving husband, father, and stepfather, passed away unexpectedly December 3, 2021, in Herriman, Utah at the age of 68. He was born January 10, 1953 in Torrington, Wyoming to Rex Warren Tebbet and Patsy Ruth Rasmussen. Growing up the son of a banker, Thomas learned to love the history of and collection of coins. His favorite place to play was in the bank vault. Although he wasn’t a fan of formal education, he loved history and avidly read the National Geographic. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a full-time mission in the Delaware-Maryland Mission. On November 7, 2009 he was sealed to the love of his life, Patricia Louise Hallman, at the Salt Lake City Temple. He was a devoted husband and father and worked diligently to support his family. His strong work ethic and selfless humanity made him the perfect employee. He loved going for long scenic drives with Pat, looking for farmland critters and taking pictures. He went the extra mile in his church calling as a greeter with his wife Pat, creating special programs for the children to keep them engaged during sacrament meeting. Thomas was a teaser and enjoyed using that skill with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Humor was his go-to communication skill. He was one of a kind. His children have remarked that he had earned his wings in heaven a long time ago. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Herriman, Utah), his children Cassandra Lyn Miller (South Jordan, Utah) Kristin Leah Sylvester (Shenandoah, Iowa), Melinda Ann Miller Anderson (residence unknown), Gerald Randall Miller Jr. (Spring Hill, Kansas) and Emily Dawn Tebbet (South Jordan, Utah), his grandchildren Kyle Wahlstrom, Brenden Miller, Kimberly Sylvester, Mickyla Miller, Daniel Jacob Sylvester, Shaylee Robertson, Aiden Robertson, Jordyn Anna VanderVeur, Mckenna Miller and siblings Kent Tebbet (Scottsbluff, Nebraska), Peggy Fullmer (Round Rock, Texas), and brother-in-law Kenneth John Hallman and wife Tammy (Magna, Utah). He was predeceased by his parents Rex Warren Tebbet (6/1/1923-10/29/1977), Patsy Ruth Rasmussen (8/25/1925-4/6/2001), and brother, Richard Tebbet (1/3/1947-12/19/2019) Funeral services will be held December 15, 2021 at the Herriman Rose Stake Center Chapel, 5621 West 12900 South, Herriman, Utah 84096 at 11:00. Viewing will be held at the chapel prior to the services 10:00 to 10:45. Interment to follow at the Herriman City Cemetery. Funeral arrangements through Premier Funeral Services.
