September 12, 1925 - April 9, 2015
Vicenta N. Calderón (12 September 1925 – 9 April 2015) Our dear mother was born in Mendoza, Argentina. She didn’t finish elementary school because she needed to help her single mom by working as a maid and was taught how to cook in order to keep the job. Our mother at age 16 married Manuel I. Calderón in Mendoza, Argentina, and had a beautiful daughter who died at age 2. She worked really hard all her life to raise her family since she became a single mother and provided as much as she could by working in hotel Villavicencio and Cervantes. She and her sister Estela Meza worked endlessly to pay for their house and were so proud of achieving such an immense goal. The past three years she started to decline due to dementia but despite her illness she had the opportunity to visit her hometown Mendoza and walk through her house she loved so much. She is survived by her sons Carlos Hugo/Maria (Mendoza, Argentina) Miguel Angel/Linda and Olga Gladiz Meza.( SLC). Grandchildren: Alan, Lorena/Federico, Ana /Jory, Amelí /Jim, Andrés /Stacee, Armando /Cara Great grandchildren: Grey, Seth, William, Iris, Samuel, Max, Hannah, Breiana Predeceased by Luisa (daughter) Rita Meza (mother), Sara Elena, Estela Edith, Ramón (sisters and brother). We would love to thank all who helped in the care of our dear mother with so much love at Deseret Care Center and One Care Hospice.
