Virginia Peterson

May 21, 1932 - May 29, 2012

Today it is with sad hearts that we bid farewell to our wonderful and kind mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Virginia Peterson. She now enjoys a glorious reunion with those she has missed for so many years. Mom was born May 21, 1932 in Hailstone, Utah to John Clair Neel and Mary Elizabeth Turnbow. She passed away peacefully on May 29, 2012 at her home in Highland, Utah. She was a hard worker, she enjoyed her family, doing yard work, her beautiful home, and doing puzzles. She was a master puzzler. She had 5 children, 2 sisters and 6 brothers. Mom married our dad, Fay H. Peterson, and they were later divorced. She is survived by her children: Kathy (Doug) Larson, Salt Lake City, Ut., Craig (Shauna) Peterson, Morgan, Ut., Kala Peterson, Highland, Ut., Karla Shepherd, Idaho Falls, Id., Chris (Mark) Inkley, West Valley City, Ut., 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild. Siblings: Rose & Bob Vernon, Florence, Mt., Glen & Sandra Neel, Morgan, Ut., Bobby Neel, Midvale, Ut., Jack & Connie Neel, Stevensville, Mt., Ron & Deanna Neel, Mesa, Az., numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, companion, Art Allen, June & Dean Walker, Robert & Connie Neel, Keith Neel, infant brother, and grandaughter, Candice. And finally a great thank you to Summit Home Health & Hospice, her nurses Dana and Paula. A Celebration of Life will be held in our mother's honor Wednesday, June 6, 2012 from 6-9 p.m. at her home, 5077 West 11000 North, Highland, Utah.
