Wanda Jean Condit

April 20, 1930 - June 19, 2013

Wanda Jean Condit died at her home in the arms of her loving husband in Spanish Fork, Utah on June 19, 2013 of natural causes. Wanda was born April 20, 1930 in Hill City, Kansas to Arnold Bartlett Clark and Lena Avis Brown. The oldest of two children, she graduated in 1949 from Delta High School in Delta, Colorado. During her high school years she played clarinet and bass clarinet in the band and orchestra. She was the editor of the school newspaper. She met her eternal companion and sweetheart, LeRoy L. Condit, in English class in 11th grade. They married 3 years later in the Methodist church in Delta, Colorado. Shortly after LeRoy joined the Navy, they got the opportunity to live on the beach on Guam for 3 years before returning to the states. The Mormon missionaries knocked on their door and the idea of eternal families made sense and they joined the LDS church in 1962. The family was sealed in the Mesa, Arizona temple on February 14, 1964. Wanda welcomed the opportunities to serve others that the church brought to her life. She could always be relied upon to take a meal, care for the sick, take care of children, or give rides to anyone in need. Over the years they lived in several different places, Albuquerque, NM, and Littleton, CO, before retiring and settling in Utah County. She is survived by her husband, LeRoy L. Condit and three daughters. Beth (Hal), Julie, and Amy (Troy), 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. The family wishes to express deep gratitude to the hospice workers and members of the Canyon Ward who served Wanda so faithfully the last part of her life. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at 11:00 am at the LDS Chapel, 3477 East River Bottom Road, Spanish Fork, Utah. Family and friends may call from 10:00-10:45 am at the church prior to the services. Interment at Spanish Fork Cemetery.
