William Walter Duscavage
July 4, 1924 - November 21, 2015
Bill Duscavage passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the age of 91. He was surrounded by his loving family as he returned to his heavenly home. He was born on July 4th, 1924 in Zion Grove, Penn. to Anna Marie Alkosky and Walter John Duscavage. At the age of 19 he enlisted in the Navy for the duration of World War II. While serving in Hawaii he felt a connection to the Islands which led him to settle down in Honolulu after the war. He spent several months traveling the globe in preparation to open a series of curio and jewelry shops in the International Marketplace in Honolulu. He ran his shops got married and raised a family for 22 years before retiring to Utah for the remainder of his life. Bill is survived by his wife of 48 years Carolyn (Brown) Duscavage, his 2 children Marianne "Kanani" (Monson) Hayes and Michael John Duscavage; and 5 grand children Bowen, Darby, Finnegan, Presley and Dashiel. Bill was preceded in death by his father Walter, Mother Anna and sister Lillian. There will be a Memorial Mass held in his honor at 9 a.m. Tuesday, December 1st, 2015 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 9757 South 1700 East, Sandy, Utah.
