I came across this video in my camera roll the day before I learned of her passing. Debi was one of my managers at Savers when I was 17, and was truly one of the best people I had the privilege of knowing. She was always smiling and laughing!
I'm so sad to hear about Debi. She was an amazing lady and a wonderful friend and co-worker. She was always smiling and I loved her style of fashion. Every day that she'd come to work, I'd have to go see what earrings she had on and whatever earrings she had on, always matched her outfit! I'm shocked and heartbroken that she is gone and I still can't believe it! But I will always remember her smile and her kindness. She was a wonderful woman and I'm glad I got to know her and have her as my friend. I'll miss you Debi and I love you! Gary will too! Rest in peace and paradise my friend! 💜
the world really lost a lovely woman and a brilliant witch 😭
i called her my fairy goth mother and she'd laugh and say "you know i really am a fairy" we'd smoke and laugh and talk about mysticism, laws of the universe, and also just everyday stuff.
for years she was a main character in my everylife and fck she was so fun to spend time with.
the last words we shared were "i love you"s with a hug and im so grateful for that. im so sad to know i wont see her driving around her bright red car or that theres a bathroom that wont be totally redecorated every month.
she was an example, and a role model, to never lose your whimsy and to always stay true to yourself. walking proof that you never actually outgrow being a kind person and that you never have to settle for boring.

im not sure if i will be able to make it to the funeral today... but im sending so much love to craig and your boys. family was everything to debi and she was so proud of you all. she loved you so so much and i am so sorry for your loss
In the way back days (when we were neighbors) I’d go to visit at her house. When you’d walk in there would be piles and piles of cereal box tops. I mean everywhere 😂(while she cut and sorted them) Debi was such a devoted mom and her volunteerism to help Grant elementary and other students always left me in awe. She loved being a substitute teacher.
There was once a very low point in my life. Debi took my little daughter in to their home with no hesitation- even before her (my daughter) own father thought about it. She kept her safe and nurtured me in the following weeks.
I’m so terribly sad we lost touch.

I'd always tease her about that crappy mustang she drove and she was so fierce about her love for that thing
Like everyone and everything in her life she took great proud in being true to herself
I hope heaven is ready for one the most caring souls ever to walk through those holy gates.

When Debi was about 3 years old, I had gotten the kids ready for church. I was in the bedroom getting dressed when I kept hearing this squishing sound. I went into the bathroom and there was Debi dancing in the toilet in her pattend leather shoes and lacey socks. When she saw me, she raised one finger and asked me to "listen Mom, listen".
One of my favorite memories is of Debi when she was about 3 years old. I had gotten the kids ready for church and I was in the bedroom getting dressed. I kept hearing this squishing sound. When I went into the bathroom, there was Debi dancing in the toilet in her white patterned shoes and lacey socks. When she saw me, she lifted a finger in the air and asked me to "listed, Mom, listen".
I always think about Debi. One of my favorite days is many is riding in my vintage Vespa scooter with Debi in the sidecar. She convinced me that we needed to ride to the Bavarian to eat and see the scooter collection. We smiled and laughed the whole way there and the whole way back. We often bonded over 80’s music and went to the psychedelic furs together and got autographs. I will never forget. Never have.
