I'm saddend to learn of great uncle Kent's passing. I have memories of attending reunions with my grandma Duphane Lister Butcher on the mountain with many lister relatives. My most vivid memory of uncle Kent and aunt Colleen was in Salt Lake City, I had to have ear surgery as a young child and my maternal grandparents, grandpa and grandma Butcher (Kent's sister Duphane) brought me to salt lake upon being released from the hospital my grandparents went to uncle Kent and aunt Colleen's house for a visit, uncle Kent came out to the car and gathered me up in his arms and carried me into his house, I had a big bandage wrapped around my head and down over my left ear from surgery and must have looked a fright. he was so nice, that memory always stayed with me. RIP uncle kent

Although I've had a home across the street from Kent for about 25 years, I've just gotten to know Kent over the past 2 years.

I want Kent's family to know how much he loved and thought of them all. He would often brag up his children and grandchildren, and he frequently stated that he missed Colleen. Today Kent is dancing with his Colleen.

Also, Kent was proud to have fought for his country.

I will always remember Kent as being kind and patient. He took me golfing one day and I had never even picked up a club, but he didnt mind. He was so patient with me. He was kind enough to tell me I had a great swing, which was being very generous, Im a horrible golfer :). I have so many great memories of Kent, he was a terrific father in law. You were loved by so many and we will miss you.
