Kent Webster Lister
December 5, 1926 – December 5, 2023
Our tenacious and loving Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather pass away December 5, 2023 on his 97th Birthday. Kent was born in Cedar City Utah to David Moroni Lister and Frances May Webster. Kent grew up in Cedar City and as a young boy he and his brothers helped their father sheepherding on their beloved mountain. Kent loved his horses and spending time with family at his ranch in Cedar Mountain. Kent proudly served in the Navy as a Seaman First Class in World War II. He was on a ship in the Pacific and participated in the battle of Iwo Jima. Kent later relocated to Salt Lake City where he and his wife raised their family. Kent was employed as a truck driver of Pacific Intermountain Express (PIE) for 40+ years. Kent loved driving and being out on the open road. Kent and his late wife Colleen were also members of the Rocketeers Square Dance Club. Kent and Colleen spent many winters in Bever Dam Arizona where he pursued his other passion of playing golf.
Kent was preceded in Death by his Wife Colleen and by his parents David and Frances, Brothers Dee, Henry, Royit ,and Sister Duphane. He is Survived by his four children Gregory (Wendy) Lister, Michael (Sue) Lister, Jackie (Jon) Huish, LeeAnn Lister Larsen, eight Grand Children, and twelve Great Grand Children. A Family and Friends Graveside service will be held Saturday December 9th at 1:00 p.m. in the Cedar City Cemetery (685 N Main – Cedar City, Utah)
