Gena Bertelsen
John has been at the heart of the Orem Senior Friendship Center for almost 25 years and prior to that worked for Orem City for another 25 years. He and Joyce have played an integral part in the success of our center, always doing for others and setting such a positive example.
John collected food donations for our seniors every weekend and holiday as well as through the week. He drove our bus on countless excursions, played in our flute circle, entertained us with his Mountain Man presentation and helped with just about anything that was asked of him.
To say he will be missed is a huge understatement. Our hearts will forever have a hole with the name of John Ottens.
