Travis, Nicole and Sarah,
I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Karen as always being such a fun person to be around, and how much she loved all of you.
I will keep you in my prayers.
Love, Rosemary Bennett
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Karen and I were childhood friends in West Bend. We lost touch but within the last 2 years re-connected. I so wish I would have found her when my husband and I lived in Salt Lake City from 1988-1991. Karen and I had such fun getting into trouble together when we were 8 thru about 12 years old. I have some extremely funny stories like the time I fell into my backyard pool and Karen and I concocted a story that David Berndt, the neighbor boy pushed me in...just to get him in trouble. We had great times in my tree house in my backyard and breaking my brothers bed by jumping on it as if it were a trampoline. We always played Barbies together. I was extremely jealous of Karens curly dark hair and she always wanted my straight blond hair. She inspired me so much in the last year with her strength and never ending sense of humor. I know that she had so many friends and am sure she left many happy memories with you and all of them, just as she left with me. She will always be an important part of who I am today as I am sure she will be for many others. May you have peace knowing she is no longer suffering and may you find solace in the good memories you have of her.

Sending my deepest condolences to you Travis, Nicole and Sarah. Karen and I reconnected through FaceBook several years ago.
She was a very special lady. Even with all that was going on in her life, and the battles she was facing she took the time to be of great comfort to me as my daughter Ellie struggled with thyroid cancer last year.
She was a kind soul, and a wonderful friend. I will miss her greatly. Best wishes to all of you.
