Karen Marie Dahl's Obituary
Karen Marie Dahl Age 49 died 12/18/12, after a courageous 19 month battle with cancer. Karen was born on August 31st 1963 to Ken and Barbara Binning in West Bend, Wisconsin. Karen moved with her family to the Salt Lake area as a teenager and graduated from Judge Memorial Catholic High School in 1981. Karen worked many years at the phone company but always preferred the job of mother. Her sense of humor and personality found her many friends, as did her cooking. She enjoyed cross stitch, crocheting and reading in her spare time as well as playing games with her family and had recently become quite interested in collecting antique glass. She also had a soft spot for dogs and rescued four and treated each like a true member of the family.
She is survived by her husband Travis Dahl, children Nicole Bell and Sarah Bell, parents Ken and Barbara Binning, brother Tim, and nephews Christopher and Stephen Binning. She is also survived and mourned by many close in-laws and numerous friends.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents John and Anne Maglio and Ray Binning and Marcella Warner.
A celebration of Karen’s life will be held at the Benvegnu Center at the north end of the St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church campus at 1385 Spring Lane, Holladay, UT on Wednesday December 26th from 1:30-4:00 pm.
