Abdool Rezghkhah Shotorbani's Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Abdool Hossein Shotorbani announce his passing on Friday April 27, 2018 at the age of 94 years. Abdool will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 61 years, Batool Tlooie, and his children, Nasser (Cindy), Khosrow (Kristy), and Solmaz (Erik). Abdool will also be fondly remembered by his five grandchildren John, Kianna, Stephanie, Kahlin, and Emilio Parviz.
Abdool was born in Tabriz, Iran, He was a self-made leader who lived with simple values and believed “others planted for us to eat, it’s for us to plant for others to eat.” He was a business entrepreneur and co-owner of Autosabet, an agricultural machinery business, until retiring in 1986.
He was preceded in death by his son, Parviz Shotorbani; and brothers, Mohammad Hossein Fardad and Hossein Ali Tahmassebipour. Abdool is survived by his brother, Gholam Ali Tahmassebipour; and sister, Malihe Samadi, and all his siblings’ loving families. He enjoyed mountaineering, gardening, and mechanical engineering. He was a passionate phytophile and philotherian—he loved all living things from a rose to the forest; an ant to the crocodile.
Those who wish may donate in Abdool’s name to World Wildlife Fund or the Nature Conservancy. Special thanks to Taunya at Aging Services and to Beverly, Michael, and Daniella at Elevation Hospice for their warm and caring support until the very end. Friends and family are welcome to attend the funeral service on Saturday, May 5 at 11:00 a.m., at (LDS Church) 2702 East Evergreen Avenue (3435 South), Salt Lake City, Utah, 84109. Following that, there will be a burial service from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Elysian Burial Gardens (1075 E 4580 S Salt Lake City, UT 84117). We will celebrate Abdool’s life with a luncheon at 2702 East Evergreen Avenue (3435 South).
