Adam Michael Gavura's Obituary
Adam Michael Gavura
June 8,1968-June 8, 2026
It is difficult to sum up a person’s life in a few paragraphs. More so for the life of someone who was highly creative like Adam. His brain was different than most of our brains. If you were in his orbit, his brain could help you experience the highest heights. You heard music a little bit better, you felt poetry a little bit deeper. You could see what he could see. Life was easier to enjoy when you were with him. A brain like his, sadly, was always going to be vulnerable to the unrelenting need to seek stimulation. He left us on his 58th birthday, and I hope these next few paragraphs help you see how special he was.
Adam was a son, a brother, a husband, a father, and a best friend. He was loved dearly and will be missed greatly. He loathed silence and could always be found watching a movie, playing or listening to music, or watching his beloved Liverpool--more than likely doing most of those things at once.
Adam was a self-taught, talented musician. He played numerous instruments and had a vast knowledge of music. He loved all music and his ability to hop on a guitar and sing any song was a joy to experience.
He was a tease and found great joy bringing people out of their shell. You always felt welcomed by him, and you truly believed he found you to be fascinating. You were likely to leave an encounter with him having been smooched on the mouth and given a nickname. No one could escape his presence.
In Adam’s honor, share with your loved ones how you feel. Let someone know they matter. Appreciate the finite nature of our shared time with others. Love.
YNWA Adam, we love you.
When you walk through a storm
Keep your chin up high
And don’t be afraid of the dark.
At the end of the storm
Is a golden sky
And the sweet, silver song of a lark.
Walk on through the wind,
Walk on through the rain,
Though your dreams be tossed and blown.
Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart,
And you’ll never walk alone!
You’ll never walk alone.
