Adolph Padilla's Obituary
Adolph "Rudy" Padilla, 81, of Salt Lake City, UT passed away on Monday, February 9, 2015 surrounded by his daughter.
Rudy was born on August 7, 1933 to Manuel and Margarita Padilla in La Jara, New Mexico. He served in the Army on the front line of the Koren War. Rudy loved crafts, photography, mingling with people and making new friends. Every friend that he made, he left a memorable impression. When you were in his presence he made you feel very special. He loved to joke and was witty. Rudy always had a smile on his face.
He is survived by his loving daughter Cathy Padilla Escareno, his ex-wife Minnie Sanchez Salas, his daughter-in-law Yvonne Padilla, grandchildren Ramona Ashbarker, Melissa Padilla, Linda Estrella Wolfe, Stevie Padilla, Monica Le, Frank Escareno, Mariah Padilla, and Monique Padilla; his great grandchildren Sarah, Lydia, Aaron, Reuben, Elijah, Blayklee, Anthony, Alixis, Kaidynce, Mykah, Ariana, McKenlee, and Liam; his sibling Elsie de Lara, Emma Gonzales, Anselmo Padilla, Manuel Padilla, Delores Padilla, and many nephew and nieces. He is preceded in death by his two sons, Steven and Michael Padilla, granddaughter Elisha Padilla Velarde, his parents Manuel and Margarita Padilla, his brother George Padilla, his sisters Amada Montoya, Lucia Maestas, Cleotilde Carrillo, and Lourdes Hamilton.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Febrary 11, 2015 at St Ambrose Catholic Church, 1975 South 2300 East, SLC. Military honors will follow the services at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 S. Camp Williams, Rd., Bluffdale, UT. Please send flowers to St. Ambrose Catholic Church.
