Adoree Ann Naumann's Obituary
Adorée Ann Naumann
Adorée Ann Naumann passed away at home on June 7, 2023, surrounded by family after a courageous and inspiring three-year battle with cancer. Our hearts are broken, but our love is strong and eternal.
Adorée was born in Logan Utah on July 7, 1982, the first child of Linda and Patrick Hendrickson. She was a happy baby and loved by all. In 1984, her family moved to Provo, Utah. Even at these early ages, Adorée was cheerful, determined and easily made friends.
At the age of five, her family moved to Highland, Utah in 1987, where she attended elementary, junior high and high school, graduating from Lone Peak High in 2000, co-captaining the swim team, and serving on the Student Council as Class Artist.
She was blessed to live in an exceptionally wonderful neighborhood of strong and caring families, dozens of children, dear friends of many ages, and a happy, strong and grateful family. Growing up, she loved to play outside in the open fields around her home, and was active with close friends and family. She developed a creative mind, a strong will, a loyal soul, and strived to know and do what’s right. She was active in church, a leader, a faithful and fun friend, and a good and cheerful example to all.
After high school she graduated from BYU with a degree in art. She is an artist and has a soul that reflects that. She appreciates works of art in all of its forms, whether by a person or God.
Adorée has always had an attraction to water. She would float in a lake endlessly. She would wakeboard for hours if allowed. And it was on a boating trip that she met Gerald Naumann. They dated, fell in love, and were married and sealed in the Mount Timpanogos Temple on June 14, 2002.
With Gerald, Adorée’s real work of art is their family. They returned to her beloved Highland in 2008 to a special neighborhood filled with kind, generous and caring people. Adorée is a wise, devoted and nurturing mother who understands the specific potential of each of their children. She home-schooled their children until last year when she was no longer able to sustain that effort.
She is a pianist, loves music and learning, and family homelife. She has always maintained a close relationship with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, and lived a gospel-centered life. Her strong convictions are evident in the way she has lived, as well how they raise their children.
Adorée’s three-year battle with cancer was inspirational, not only from the standpoint of her valiant and faith-filled approach, but also because of the numerous and deeply meaningful acts of love and support from family, dear friends and people who didn’t even know her. From the diagnosis until the end, she firmly believed, “No matter how this ends, it’ll be alright.” Her courage, strength, faith and grace lifted us all to a higher place.
We thank all who have stood by her side—both literally and figuratively—helping her and their family through this ordeal. Family, neighbors, their ward, and friends have been angels. Their lights have been constant and bright, and have sustained us through some dark times, and inspired us. She and we will be forever grateful to you.
She is Adorée, and we adore her: Her beloved husband, Gerald Naumann, and her darling children, Elise (15), Royce (13), Charlotte (10), Rush (8), and Declan (6); her loving parents, Linda and Patrick Hendrickson; her beloved brothers and sisters, Trisha (Gavin) Henry, Garret (Megan) Hendrickson, Chase (Bailey) Hendrickson, Sawyer (Samantha) Hendrickson. She loves and is loved by her 36 nieces and nephews. Her grandparents and great-grandparents who have preceded her in death welcome her home. We will sorely miss her, joyously remember her, and live our lives in a way that will honor her until we embrace again.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at the Highland LDS Stake Center, 5335 West 11200 North, Highland Utah where a viewing will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Monday, June 12, 2023 and Tuesday prior services from 9:30 to 10:45 am.
