Aileen Lenore Fox Ware's Obituary
Aileen Lenore Fox Ware, 92, passed away on May 7, 2021 in Salt Lake City, Utah surrounded by her family. Aileen was born on November 15, 1928 in Salt Lake City, Utah—parents Leonard Grant Fox and Olive Geneva Harline Fox.
She graduated from South High School (1946) and earned a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Utah (1950).
Aileen married Leo William Ware in Salt Lake City, Utah on June 9, 1958. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake temple. Aileen was an active member of the LDS church. As a young woman, Aileen served an LDS mission in Southern California. She held many positions in the church as teacher, MIA president, and in many music positions.
She taught school in Utah and California. Aileen loved working with young children. She retired after teaching Kindergarten for 42 years.
Aileen worked at Hale Centre Theatre for over 35 years as an usher/manager. She worked at ZCMI for 18 years in the gift wrap department at Cottonwood Mall.
She loved to travel with family and friends. Favorite trips include Hawaii, Fiji, Canada, Branson, and over 16 trips to New York City—the highlight of which was always Broadway shows. Aileen loved her family and enjoyed the many interests of her children and grandchildren.
Aileen is survived by her children: Wendy & Jeff Barr (3 children, 5 grandchildren), Kimball and Christene Ware (4 children, 2 grandchildren), Heidi & Steve Baer (4 children, 2 grandchildren). Preceded in death by her parents, brother, and husband, Leo.
Funeral services to be held Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. East Millcreek 11th Ward (2702 East Evergreen Avenue, Salt Lake City). Viewing to be held at the same location on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 from 6-8 p.m., and Wednesday, May 12, 2021 from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Social distancing and masks encouraged. The service will also be streamed at the following link:
