Albert Junior Aurich's Obituary
Albert Junior Aurich passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at age 90. He was born April 30, 1930 in Westcliffe, Colorado to Nellie May (Mulkey) and Albert Carl Aurich. He was the lastborn of his siblings Carl, Paul, Gail, Margie, Georgie, and Keith. Al married Therese Horvath on March 29, 1955 in Raton, New Mexico. On August 19, 1964 they were sealed together for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. He is survived by his daughters Kathi, Julie and Sherri, his sons John and David, 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by all his siblings, his wife Therese, his daughter Lorri and his two grandchildren, Matthew and Parker.
Al was dedicated to serving in the Church and served with Therese as a temple worker in the Portland Temple for several years among many other callings he had in the Church. He and Therese also served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Philippine Missionary Training Center. Al enjoyed farming, horses, skeet shooting, Westerns, and just about anything cowboy related. He also enjoyed whittling, playing the harmonica and ukulele.
Though we know he is overjoyed to be reunited with his sweetheart, he will be so missed. Until we meet again.
