I didn't know Al as an Operator at UTA, but I remember him coming in a couple times a week to use our workout room. He'd always enter the building with his booming voice asking when Change Day was. (When the Operators changed their work assignment and when routes would change.) He would sit on the couch in the lobby and tell me all sorts of stories about life, about his lovely wife, and being Bus Operator "in the old days." These memories i will cherish.
My best memory with my dad was when I was around 10 he came and got me for a full weekend by myself and I just remember getting to sit with him and spend one-on-one time with them and we went to a pizza place I can't remember what it's called I ordered a pizza with anchovies on it I thought anchovies were green peppers at the time my dad kept asking me if that's what I wanted and I kept saying yes so when they brought me the pizza I asked him where the anchovies were which I thought were green peppers he laughed and told me anchovies were fish I started to cry so he gave me his meat lovers Pizza and he ate my anchovies and pepperoni pizza best memory I have of him I miss him love you, dad, always and forever and Eternity
