Alex Val Robison's Obituary
Alex Val Robison
1942 - 2017
Alex Val Robison passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by family on Friday, March 3, 2017, after a courageous 2-year battle with lymphoma.
The fifth of six boys and an older sister, Val was born February 14, 1942 in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Roy and Evelyn Robison. He grew up in Ammon, Idaho and graduated from Bonneville High School in 1960, where he excelled in basketball. He served an LDS mission in Switzerland. He then married his sweetheart Connie Cox in the Idaho Falls Temple on January 29, 1965.
Val and Connie have 4 children, 6 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
Val worked the family homestead/ranch, near Bone, Idaho, for many years with his Dad and brothers; owned KVS sports with his brothers K and Steve, and sold insurance. In 1985 he moved his family to Orem and opened The Cleaning Solution, a dry cleaning business which grew to 5 locations. Val loved his business and working with his dedicated employees.
He has remained steadfast in his testimony of the church, and has served as a bishop in his home ward, and as a counselor and a bishop in BYU singles wards. He is a huge fan of BYU sports.
Val is survived by his wife, Connie, and children: Marci Richardson (Todd), Michael, and Andrew (Jacqueline); and his brother Steve (RaNae), and was preceded in death by his son, Richard; his parents; and his brothers: Maurice, Richard, Rulon, K and sister Shirley.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, the Peaks Care Center, and CNS Home Health and Hospice for their dedicated and loving care of Val.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 10, 2017 at the LDS Church located at 575 E 800 N in Orem, UT. A viewing will be held at the same location Thursday, March 9, 2017 from 6 - 8 p.m. and on Friday prior to the funeral from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.
