Alice E. Andrus' Obituary
Alice, having reached the age of 90, honorably completed her life’s mission here on earth and returned home to her Heavenly Father and the loving embrace of her beloved husband, Quentin, on November 4, 2011. Alice was born July 26, 1921 to Laura and Jonathan Earl, sister to Don, Ruth, Glen, and Beverly. Alice was a graduate of South High School. Alice met her sweetheart and husband to be when she was 15. It was love at first sight. They were sealed on December 3, 1943 in the Mesa, Arizona Temple. Together, they had 8 children. Kathleen (deceased), Gary, Laurene (Kevin) Knighton, Janice (Brian) Noyce, Judy (LaMont) Beynon, Wayne (Royalyn), Keith (Amy), and Allen (Maryann). Alice was employed at See’s Candies for 15 years, where she had many friends, both coworkers and customers. Alice also served in many positions of responsibility in the LDS Church, including Relief Society President of the Waterloo Ward. Alice was first and foremost a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. Alice is survived by 7 of her 8 children, her siblings, Glen Earl, Beverly (Calvin) Robinson, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Berwyn and Virginia Andrus, and sister-in-law Beverly Jane Andrus Paulsen; 33 grandchildren, and 48 great grandchildren to date. Services will be held at noon on Tuesday, November 8th at the Waterloo Ward, 1623 South 500 East. Friends may visit with family at the chapel on Monday, November 7th, from 6 to 8 in the evening, and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
