Dear Murdock Family,

I am a colleague of Alan's son Mark in the Church Auditing Department. I think the world of Mark and wanted to offer my condolences to each family member.

I love the following scripture found in Romans 8:39:

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Not even death can separate us from the love of God and our Savior, Jesus Christ. I know John's testimony of God's love is true:

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

I send my love and prayers for each of you during this challenging time.

I was saddened to hear of Allan's passing through the veil to the other side. We worked together at Deseret Grain for about seven years. Allan was a very hard and conscientious worker.

There was a sister, Karen, who also worked with us and our best days were when we could get Allan to laugh. We missed him when he left.

Allan was one of the sweetest, calmest, kindest person that I know of. My family and I are going to miss him immensely. One time when my children were young, he helped build a swing for them to swing on during the wintertime when we were out of school for off-track time. My kids thought that was the coolest thing ever. Thanks Grandpa Allan! Thanks for loving us and setting such a wonderful example for my children of hard work, getting a good education, loving and caring for your spouse in loving ways, being thrifty and handy with what you had. You’re Awesome! Heaven is lucky to get you. 😇💗

Allan was the treasured older brother of my husband Frank Murdock. Frank has shared many stories of their childhood adventures. Allan was always depicted as a mild mannered, steady, calm, "do the right thing guy" who set a very good example for his younger siblings.

I met Allan and Irene when Frank and I were married. Allan's knowledge of accounting helped Frank decide that he, too, wanted to become a C.P.A. Allan and Irene have supported us and our children in family activities. Their wonderful children show the special parents they were.

Frank passed away with complications of Parkinson's Disease 2 years and 15 days ahead of Allan. These two brothers and Grandma Mattie and Grandpa Ezra are once again together with other family members. Thanks to the beautiful restored Gospel of Jesus Christ we have the opportunity to be them forever one day in the future.
