Amber Lynn Walton's Obituary
33 years ago, Amber Lynn Walton danced into our lives. On May 12th, she left this epic adventure behind and danced into a far greater one. Her life was like a brilliant rainbow: Beautiful, bright, and wonderful, but gone entirely too soon.
Like the superhero movies she adored, Amber was a real-life superhero. She was a kind and fearless warrior, always fighting for the underdog and making sure all voices were heard and accepted. She had the ability to make anyone feel loved, and in typical superhero fashion, it was usually to those that desperately needed it. When you were Amber’s friend, that meant something.
She may have lost her battle with diabetes, but like all great superheroes, she has left us with a legacy of love, kindness, loyalty, and a desire to be greater than we think we are.
She found hope in the hopeless and love in the unlovable. She never lost hope in a better day, a better functioning body, and a better world. She will always be remembered for her beauty, her laugh, her fearlessness, her love of music (especially the band Journey) and her undying love for her nieces and nephews.
We will not remember the battles, but instead cling only to the victories, her love, and the light she leaves behind. We are better because we knew her, and we are braver from her example.
Our hearts are broken that you are gone, but as much as we want to keep you here fighting, your strength, compassion and love are needed in your next heroic adventure. We love you Sissy.
Don’t Stop Believing.
