Amy Rebecca Powers' Obituary
Amy Rebecca Powers, a devoted daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt and friend returned to her loving Father in Heaven, on September 18, 2024 after a valiant fight with cancer, surrounded by her family in Payson, UT.
Born on December 10, 1973 in Salt Lake City, UT to Jack and Kathleen Powers. Amy grew up in Charleston, Utah in a loving home alongside her 6 siblings where she faced health challenges at an early age. Despite those challenges, her parents instilled in her a value of working hard that was shown in all aspects of her life and admired by all. Her ability to endure these challenges were shown by her perseverance throughout her life.
Amy found joy in spending time with her nieces and nephews while they were growing up. Her hobbies included cross stitching, scrapbooking family memories, coloring, bracelet making, movie collecting, watching the Utah Jazz and researching her favorite actor. Amy used her talents and abilities to bless those around her.
Survived by her father, Jack Powers of Salem, UT, and 6 siblings: Julie (Ryan) Howell of Mapleton, UT; Carrie (Aaron) Mair of Honolulu, HI; Emily (Wade) Choules of Salem, UT; Daniel (Kelsie) Powers of Heber City, UT; John (Charlotte) Powers of Heber City UT; Andrew Powers, 18 nieces & nephews, and 1 grandniece, all of whom will miss her dearly. Proceeded in death by her mother Kathleen Vincent Powers, grandparents Jack & Beverly Powers, and Ronald & Beverly Vincent.
Our family would like to thank the staff and residents at Payson Medallion Assisted living, who were all part of Amy’s family.
A graveside dedication will be held on Monday October 14, 2024 at 3pm at Vine Bluff Cemetery 550-598 E. 1250 N. Nephi, UT 84648.
