Andreas "Andy" Boehlendorf's Obituary
Andreas “Andy” Böehlendorf passed away peacefully at the age of 66 on March 27th in Sunset,UT with his loved ones next to him. Andy was born in Soltau, Germany on May 5th, 1957 to his parents Gunter Boehlendorf and Erika Kochig and raised by his step Dad Jack Ellis. At the age of 9 he came to the states and found his home in Clearfield/Layton Utah.
Andy graduated from Clearfield High in 1976. He worked for Hercules for 20 plus years and spent 15 years at Hill Air Force base and retired in 2015. He lived in Layton, UT and had many amazing neighbors that became good friends. His life was fulfilled with hobbies in riding quads, jet skis and always had a love of hunting especially in Farmington canyon. He had so many memories with his close friends and family he had a eye for spotting out wildlife and if he wasn’t hunting he was hiking, riding his quads or enjoying time with his grandkids and dogs. His time spent with his grandkids was showing them how to ride their quads, shooting or taking them to their property in Idaho.
He is survived by his one and only daughter Subrina Boehlendorf her two daughters Unique and Brianna Villastrigo and his two great grandkids Christopher Andreas and Saranoni, his siblings Petra Arendtsen (he grew up with his sister and the bond they had was unconditional) her husband Kirk and their son Paul.
His younger brother Mike Ellis and his two son’s Beau and Seth.
He was the bestest, coolest Dad and Grandpa ever. He is and always will be truly loved and going to be missed dearly everyday.
We will be having a celebration of life on his birthday on May 5th 2024, outdoors where he would want everyone to celebrate him.
Details will be shared soon.
