Angel Pirir's Obituary
ANGEL PIRIR
Our Husband, Father, and Grandfather, Angel Pirir 86, passed on to be with his Heavenly parents on Monday (June 18, 2018) from several health issues including cancer. He was born on October 1, 1931 in Guatemala City, Guatemala. He was self educated since there were no nearby schools to attend. He taught himself to read and that was a source of joy to him in later years as he enjoyed reading the scriptures. He grew up on a farm but at the age of 9 his mother died. His 2 older sisters took over the job of raising him and his brothers.
Angel married Consuelo Mijangos and they became the parents of 6 children. When the oldest child came to the USA, he worked to bring his parents and siblings here except for one sister who is the only remaining sibling in Guatemala. Angel became a USA citizen a few years before his death,
Angel loved gardening and every year could be seen raising fruits and vegetables for himself and his family.
He was a faithful member of the LDS church and was a great missionary. Many people have joined the church because of his love for the gospel.
He is survived by his wife Consuelo and his children:
Miguel Pirir (Virginia) Eagle Mountain, Utah,
Mario Pirir (Norma) Orem, Utah, Luis Pirir (Susannah) Orem Utah, Elsa Pirir Orem, Utah, Manuel Pirir (Elvia) Orem, Utah, and Lorena Abadillo (Miguel) Guatemala City, Guatemala. He also leaves behind 30 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren with another on the way. He was and is loved by many and will be sorely missed.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 23 at the LDS chapel located at 1780 North 165 East in Orem at 11:00 A.M. There will be a viewing at the same chapel on Friday evening from 6-8 P.M. And also an hour before services on Saturday.
