Anita was always so involved in Sunset View Elementary where her children attended school. She volunteered for the PTA and was a happy and energetic leader in all she did. She brightened my days there and I loved working with her and her darling kids. I send my love and sympathy to all.
What a great lady! I was saddened to hear of her passing. She touched so many lives. I will always be grateful for her taking part in my son's eagle board of review and her support of him in a time when he was struggling with life issues. Also grateful for the great friends she and Ron have been to my dear husband Fred and myself. My thoughts and prayers go out to you, Ron and the children and grandchildren. Oh Gosh, What can I say I have had the honor of knowing Anita and Ron for almost 26 years now, and there is no doubt in my mind that Anita went to the GOOD PLACE. That was just the type of person she was. Always smiling always willing to lend a hand. I read a tribute from one of her son Scott's friends that made me tear up. Anita & Ron gave so much of themselves to help young people. SHE always wore her heart on her sleeve There wasn't a thing she wouldn't do to help lift someone up. My mother was named Anita and they were a lot alike. I hope they get to meet, she was a great person too. I hope Ron will feel he can always stop by. He is truly one of a VERY short list of friends that I have and my heart aches for him , because I know she was the love of his life,and I know how much she will be missed.
I am Anita's cousin and hadn't seen her since high school. Over 35 years ago we moved back to Utah from Michigan and one of our Michigan friends who had moved to Utah was getting married. Who was at the wedding but Anita! Of course she would befriend the new people in her ward! I was so excited to see her again! Since then we have had lots of opportunities to see each other and become great friends. She hosted my brother's graduation dinner when he graduated from Law School. Her daughter, Whitney, moved "far away" to our area and was in our Young Adult Ward where she met her wonderful husband. I was privileged to be at Whitney and Roger's wedding and witness their sealing. Anita and Whitney were my rocks when my dad died and not only brought me lots of love but created the most wonderful personal flower arrangements for his funeral. He loved golf so they put some of his golf balls in the flower vases! I know my dad was smiling! Ron - so glad she picked you!! You were her other half! She was enjoying being "empty nesters!" I will miss Anita and her bubbly personality, but I know she lives - just in a different sphere. Until we meet again! Debbie Gardner McKinley
I met them when I was joining. The church. They both are very good friends. Anita was the most sweetest and loving lady. She always looked to the positive and make the people she met do the same. Until we meet again.
Traipsing all over the Mediterranean, baa-baa, having a blast singing for the troops. We had a great time-good memories.
When Dave and I moved into the ward 11 years ago, we were nervous. We didn't know a soul. That first Sunday can be so intimidating. Anita Keller was the first person to approach us after sacrament meeting. She walked right up to us after the closing prayer and changed everything for me. My worries kind of melted away. She was so warm and so kind. I will never forget how she made me feel. She was so good to Molly. Molly LOVED her primary lessons, but more than that, Molly loved her teacher. Anita was so kind to her and taught her so many important things. Molly would come home every Sunday, excited to share what she had learned from Anita. I still can't quite wrap my mind around all of this. I am grateful for the impact this sweet woman had on my life and the lives of my husband and children. ❤️
