Anita Marie Loftis' Obituary
Anita Marie Loftis, 60, of Sandy, Utah, passed away on April 15, 2026. with her daughter Crystal by her side.
Anita was born in Portsmouth Virginia and was adopted by her parents when she was 16 years old. She met James in Colorado Spring in 1983 and married him. They then had 9 children along with 2 adoptive children.
Anita was a kind, caring, and loving mother who meant everything to her family. She had a gentle heart and a way of making those around her feel loved, supported, and never alone. Her strength, compassion, and faith guided her through life, and she shared that strength with her children in their hardest moments.
She will be remembered most for the love she gave so freely, the comfort she brought to others, and the unwavering support she showed her family. To know Anita was to know kindness.
She is preceded in death by children Quinton Quincy Steven Loftis, Cheryl Dickerson and grand daughter Abbagale Loftis- Gimple.
She is survived by her loving adoptive parents Carolyn Runnells and Dale Loftis. Her husband James Scott Loftis. Children: Allen Loftis, Dale Loftis, Crystal Loftis (Zachary Gimple), Byron Loftis, Elliott Loftis (Kathleen), Jasmine Loftis (Steven Barney), Tarrie Loftis, and MC Loftis (John Mahusay), Brad Moore, along with her grandchildren Quintin, Timberlynn, Ethan, Elijah, Malachi, and Benjamin and many loved ones who will carry her memory with them always.
Service will be held on Saturday, April 25th from Noon-2pm at the
LDS Church House
8735 Harvard Park Dr, Sandy, UT 84094.
