Words cannot express my deep love and gratitude for Ann as well as her husband Richard. They have touched so many lives with their friendship and knowledge. They are the example of Christ’s love for all.
Because of Ann, Thousands of names and information has been found about our ancestors. She taught many of us in the fine art of transcribing German Church records. Her knowledge, love and patience with us helped us break through barriers that had once stopped us from further research. To this day I still use her knowledge in discovering additional names and data. Because of Ann, thousands of names have had their temple ordinance work done. I can imagine the great reunion that is being held because of the gratitude of those spirits as she joins them.
I see the Lord’s hand in moving my husband and I to Richland, WA, where we could find the answer to our prayers about learning how to decipher German Church Records. There was only a slice of time when this experience could happen, and we were sent here in that slice. That was one of the many “tender mercies” of God.
Richard has also lovingly and patently shared his knowledge with others on how to use all the new technology to further our family history’s work. His mind contained great knowledge that helped so many over a long period of time. We could rightly say, Richard was “MR FAMILY SEARCH”.
I cannot think of a more loving couple. I am so grateful for their influence.
Ruthann Holsten, Richland, WA
