Anna Maria Jensen Simons' Obituary
Anna Maria (Jensen) Simons was born in Logan, Utah on February 11th, 1944 to Kenneth Jensen and Lillie (Liechty) Jensen, she was the fourth of five children and grew up in Salt Lake City. She met the love of her life, Edwin Simons and they were married in the Salt Lake City Temple on October 16th, 1968.
Three years later they moved to their forever home in West Jordan and raised their three children. Anna Maria was a talented seamstress and loved to craft. Her homemade gifts brought joy to all. Her Christ like love shined through her every day actions of caring for anyone within her reach. They opened their home and arms to shelter kids and strays of many kind. She taught us to love unconditionally.
Anna Maria is survived by, daughter Alaina Green (Warren), son Trent Simons (Elisha), and daughter Miranda Wyatt (Lee), as well as 11 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Jerry (Donna), her sister-in-law Judy (Leonard), sister Vickie (Kent), sister-in-law Deborah(Lee), sister-in-law Tonya (Robert) and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all of us.
On Tuesday November 7th 2023, Anna Maria passed away peacefully at her daughters’ home. She was preceded in death by her husband Edwin Simons, her mother and father, mother and father-in-law, brother, and several brothers and sisters in law.
Our mothers’ whit, tenacity, selfless service, love, strength, and compassion will continue to bless the lives of all who loved her. Until we meet again.
