Anna Marie Christensen Wilkins' Obituary
Anna Marie Christensen Wilkins, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2024 in her home in American Fork.
She is the oldest of three daughters of Albert and Della (Thomas) Christensen. Anna was born on August 2, 1941 in Salt Lake City and attended Granite High School and a year at the University of Utah. Her high school years were busy with school plays, choir, Pep Squad and family.
Anna married Kent Myrup Wilkins in the Logan Temple on September 14, 1962. She lived most of her married life in San Jose, California where they raised their two boys, Craig and Alan. After Kent retired, they moved to Westminster, Colorado where they lived for the next 10 years. During this time, they served in the Denver Temple, were family history consultants and served in the Laotian Branch in the Denver North Stake.
After Denver, Kent and Anna returned to Utah, settling in American Fork near their children and grandchildren for the past 16 years. They both loved to support the grandchildren by attending all manner of events from choir concerts, sporting events, church talks, graduations, baptisms and priesthood advancements. It didn’t matter what the event was, they wanted to be there to support their grandchildren. Anna was known to keep a well-stocked supply of Starbursts in her purse to share with the younger grandkids in attendance at the various events.
Anna is survived by her husband Kent with whom she recently celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary; son Craig and Roseanne Wilkins of Tooele, UT; son Alan and Wendy Wilkins of Lehi, UT; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and two sisters: Karen Christensen and Judy (Byron) Hardy, of Salt Lake City.
