Anne C Dansie's Obituary
Our beautiful, loving mother, Anne Coffin Dansie, 91, passed away on February 16, 2026 in Santaquin, Utah.
Anne was born on September 27, 1934 in Englehart, Ontario, Canada to Louis Quinn and Marguerite Coffin. After living one year in Canada, her family moved to Sheridan, Wyoming. Her family moved to Ogden, Utah for a short while, and then moved to Seattle, Washington at the end of WWII. In 1948 her family moved back to Sheridan where she graduated high school in 1952.
After graduation Anne moved to Denver and attend Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing for 2 years. At that point, she decided a nursing career was not for her. She went home to Sheridan and attended the local college where she did some student teaching in a first grade class. She loved teaching those sweet first graders and wanted to become a teacher. In the fall of 1956 Anne took a Trailways bus to Provo to attend BYU.
In March 1957, Anne borrowed a pink velvet dress to attend a wedding and be a bridesmaid for her friend. As she stood in the wedding line, a good looking young man in a brown suit approached her from the other end of the line. She looked into a shining clean and happy face with twinkling blue eyes of Clinton Dansie.
Anne and Clint were married on June 7, 1957 in the Manti Temple. Anne had always wanted to be a wife and a mother. They shared the joy of six children. Von ( Carlene) Dansie, Annette (Doug) Loveless, Raelyn (Evan) Christensen, Guy (Diana) Dansie, Dan (Cindy) Dansie, and Neil (Jody) Dansie.
Anne loved teaching. She taught first grade at Taylor Elementary School in Payson for a few years. Then after raising their children, she had a preschool in her home for several years. Anne taught English to many students throughout her retirement years.
Anne is known for her gentle nature, her kindness, and her example of love.
She is proceeded in death by her husband of 64 years, Clinton Dansie, grandchildren Gerald W. Loveless, Mitchell V. Loveless, Troy C. Dansie, and Jill C. Dansie, Her Parents and a Brother.
She is survived by her six children and their spouses, 23 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, with more on the way.
A graveside service will be held on Monday February 23, 2026, at 12:00 pm with burial in the Payson City Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Seasons of Santaquin Assisted Living and I Care Hospice for their kindness and excellent care.
