I will remember Anne for her strength, courage, positive outlook and for being such a remarkable inspiration to so many. I also loved how she just lit up talking about her quilting!! She was an incredible person and it was an honor to know her!
I met Anne in 2016 at a WFA meeting. She was always positive and encouraging to all of us. Anne was an inspirational artist and a sweet friend. She taught our group a lot. I am deeply sadden for my loss of her friendship. I love you Anne 💖
I have always admired and respected Anne for her tenacity. I will miss our long political chats and luncheons. She was such a special woman.
Anne was a modest caring friend. Finding her many accomplishments required some digging since she never boasted of them and was so approachable and accepting of almost everyone ... just a few topics or people would get her blood boiling. LOL. In just 8 years she made many friends. She nurtured creativity. She aroused people's curiosity. She inspired many who knew of her long journey with cancer. She excelled in her field of plant physiology and won many honors for her art quilting but most of all she was a gift to whomever became her friend.
My sincere condolences to James, Katie and family on losing their remarkable mother/grandmother and know that she often spoke of you both and your caring kindness.

Ann Datko will always be a happy part of my life. I had the honor of meeting her shortly after she moved to Ogden. The newspaper had a photo and an article about her and her well known artistry. Right away, I phoned her, we met, and this was the beginning of the Wasatch Fibre Artists (WFA). Her obvious talent, warm enthusiasm, and delightful encouragement ensured the continuance of the WFA long after I moved to another state.
Ann was a always good friend, someone I could count on to 'be there' for me as well as for those around her. It saddens me to think of not being able to email her any more, but am gratified thinking of her bringing her loving personality to Heaven and sharing her God-given talent with everyone there. Ann will always be a sweet memory. Blessings to her beloved family.
