Annmarie MacDonald's Obituary
Annmarie was born November 1, 1951, at Holy Cross Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was adopted by Margorie Eleanor Greenig and John James Roberts, III. She passed away February 26, 2020.
She was educated in Salt Lake City School District. She had a tremendous vocabulary. It came so natural to her. Friends would often say, huh? or what does that mean? And she would give you the definition.
Annmarie was an extremely hard worker with a high work ethic. She worked many years as a waitress at South Seas, Seven Seas, Dee’s, Kowloon Café to name a few. She also worked at Thrift Town and Deseret Industries in Ogden which she enjoyed. Her friend often lovingly referred to her as her favorite bag lady. She carried all important papers with her at all times in numerous large purses.
Annmarie was a member of the Mound Fort 1st Ward. She taught Primary and worked in the nursery. For five years she cleaned the chapel every Saturday until her health would no longer allow it. She wiped down each pew, with great pride.
She is survived by son, Scott Hillman; daughter, Heidi Lynn Babcock. Grandchildren: Kaylee, Jacee, David James (DJ), and Johnny (Cash). She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, James MacDonald; son, Adam Hillman, and her best friend Wanda Pearce.
Annmarie will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew and loved the sweet and giving person that she was to all she met.
The family would like to give special thanks to Lotus Park Assistant Living and Memory Care where Annmarie resided for the past three years. She was loved, respected and treated like family. Also Bristol Home Health and Hospice for the service they offered the last few months. Words cannot describe the tender care, compassion and concern.
YOU are ALL angels on earth!
