Antonio R Cintron Fussa's Obituary
“Our Beloved Father Abu”
Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend passed away on May 11, 2014 at his daughter’s home in Clearfield, UT. Although suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, he endured with patience and determination in order to around his children and grandchildren.
Antonio was born on June 6, 1923 – the oldest of three children. Dad met the love of his life, Mirta Pintos, while walking in the city of Mayaguez, Puerto Rico and got married at the age of twenty nine in 1951. Their family grew to include 4 children. Dad worked hard to provide for his family through thick and thin retiring from the Natural Resources in 1990. Dad was also an avid swimmer as he grew close to the beach in the city of Mayaguez, PR. He loved to spend time with his family and enjoyed the company of his grandchildren on Sunday afternoon. Dad also loved animals as he was a Pura Casta breeder or Pure Line breeding (Gallo De Pelea of Puerto Rico).
Dad was a distinguished Puerto Rican citizen as represented a generation that possessed high moral values and overcame the challenges of the great depression. Antonio was a firm believer that obtaining a good education was a fundamental aspect of life and encouraged his son Pablo to complete a Master’s degree in Music. Antonio was the proud father of Martha, Rafael, Rosario, and Pablo. Among his beloved grandchildren are Hilton Soto, Christian Soto, Joel Soto, Elizabeth Cintron, Nichole Cintron, and Jezreel Cintron and four great grandchildren.
We want to thank everyone for their support, thoughts and prayers. A special thanks to Inspiration Hospice Services for their generous and loving care.
