Antonio Fidel Rambal Sarabia's Obituary
Antonio Fidel Rambal Sarabia passed away at the age of 85 on May 23, 2024. He was born in Barranquilla, Colombia, February 24, 1939, to his parents Victor Rambal and Dolores Sarabia. Antonio was the seventh child of 11 children. He is survived by his brother Martin Rambal, as well as his 3 children, Saydi Jaeger (Kerry), Marly Vaillancourt (Joslyn), Fabio Rambal. He is also survived by 5 grandkids and 3 great grandkids.
Our father was raised in Barranquilla Colombia, and attended a high school in Barranquilla, he began working. He began working at the age of 11 to support his family. He was an auto mechanic and HVAC Technician. Antonio met his sweetheart Aricinda Riaño de Rambal in Barranquilla at a party. The couple with their children became members in 1984.The parents were sealed in the Mexico City LDS Temple on Novembre 26, 1991. He was an excellent dancer! He was a dedicated worker. He sacrificed his life working hard to give a quality of life to his wife and children. He loved great challenges. He always wanted to progress and be the best. He loved having friends and chatting for hours. He loved to watch boxing, soccer and Dr. Polo's cases in "Caso Cerrado." Among his hobbies was listening to Colombian music such as salsa, vallenatos and cumbia, his favorite music. And he also enjoyed serving everyone. He enjoyed fixing cars and repairing the air conditioners of neighbors, friends, family and anyone who asked him. In his service in the Church, he was the best missionary.He loved missionary work and members appreciated his priesthood blessing. As a bishop he sent out one third of a large youth group on their missions. With our dad we had the opportunity to travel a lot and move from a city or country several times. He always looked for the best for us. We live in Venezuela, Montreal, Canada where he learned French. Our father fought for his family, always achieving his goals. And we know why. God loved him for being such a good humble man with a big heart.
His funeral services will be Friday May 31, at LDS chapel 5th ward Bldg. 5156 W Clay Hollow Avenue, West Jordan, with viewing at 10:00-11:00 am, funeral 11:00-12:00, graveside service appox.12;30 at the West Jordan Cemetery 1300W. 7800S.
