Ariel Lynn Barksdale's Obituary
On Saturday, November 10, 2018, we said goodbye to our beloved Ariel Lynn Barksdale. After entering the hospital Wednesday evening, Ariel fought as hard as anyone could fight to remain here for her family. Despite everything that could be done, her body simply couldn’t continue and she has now returned to her eternal home, where she will be waiting to once again embrace her family. We will all miss her infectious smile and laugh, her quick and cutting wit, and her overwhelming desire to help others and make them feel wanted, needed, and loved. She was a light to everyone that met her, regardless of situation, circumstance, or history. She simply was the best of us all. She leaves behind her husband, David, daughter Emily, and son, James, along with her parents (Gavin & Barbara Packard), and brothers (Phill, Andy, Joseph, Aaron, Daniel, & Nathanael).
A memorial service will be held for her on Friday, November 16, at 11:00a at 715 Utah Avenue, Provo, UT 84606, and, a viewing prior to that at 9:30a. Internment will be held at Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, Salt Lake City, UT 84123 at 2:30p in the afternoon. We hope that everyone that knew her, will take time to remember the light that she brought to their lives. The smiles, laughter, and contentment that followed her wherever she went.
