As a boy in Key West, he would sit on the end of the pier as storms approached and the waves would roll him down the pier, then he would get up and do it again. Art moved to Utah in 1968 with the Job Corp.
He was baptized as a member of the LDS church in 1993 and held position of Elder of the High Priest.
Art was the man who would make friends everywhere he went. If he went into a store or restaurant he would walk up to perfect strangers and in 5 minutes they were his friend. He retired from the SLC water department. In his spare time he loved building model planes, ships, rockets, and RC cars and sharing that love with family. Art loved dancing most Tuesdays, Thursday with his dance partner Miss Paula. On Fridays they would dance at the Murray Senior center. He enjoyed taking his kids and grandkids tubing at sugarhouse Park and camping.
Art was great at parades, yelling out "Good job Dad!" Or "Good job Mom!" As the parents would pull kids down the parade route in wagons. Art frequently went to Dennys on 7200 south. All of the staff new him by name and were always glad to see him. He liked taking UTA Trax and bus service, (don't forget your transfer). Art will be missed by all that knew him. He was a wonderful man.
